How I ended up here

I moved to East Texas over 10 years ago and basically grew up here. My wife and I met here, and both of our kids were born here. This is home — not just where I work, but where my family lives and where I'm invested in the community.

Before Piney Digital, I worked a lot of different jobs. I was a server — that's where I really connected with people in this town and understood what local business looks like from the inside. I've done welding, framing, and right now I'm working in landscaping. Every one of those jobs taught me something about what small businesses need and how they operate.

How I got into development

I started learning development through online courses and self-study. As technology and AI tools exploded, I saw something clear: the tools are getting easier, but the work behind them hasn't gone away.

Anyone can throw together a website in a few hours now. That part is easy. But the backend work, the refinement, the SEO that actually works, the systems that bring customers back — that's what most people aren't ready for. That's where I help.

Why Piney Digital exists
